Lessons from the Past

It all started with Bryant & Associates I entered into this partnership with high hopes, envisioning a collaborative environment where we could deliver exceptional services as a unified team. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of that vision. My partner wasn’t as involved as I expected, and the decentralized structure of the office made it impossible to drive meaningful change. His staff resisted my ideas for growth, and the experience left me with one key takeaway: alignment and trust are non-negotiable in a partnership.

Determined to move forward, I started Oliver, Kenneth & Company. The goal was to take my remaining book of business and build something new, without the baggage of a misaligned partner. But as I poured my energy into this accounting practice, I realized that something still wasn’t right. Accounting was part of the solution, but it wasn’t the complete picture.

I’ve always been driven by a desire to make a real impact on the businesses I work with. Over time, it became clear that offering lower-level accounting services didn’t fully align with my strengths or aspirations. The people I wanted to help—business owners with big visions but limited time or know-how to execute—weren’t in the audience I was targeting.
That’s when the idea for Olivantage was born. I decided to split the company and create a firm that focuses on high-level advisory services designed to drive measurable results. No more just advising or offering reports that gather dust. Olivantage is about rolling up our sleeves and working alongside business owners to make real, lasting change.
